The Music of Nature: Sound Imitation in Ritual and Art

The Russian Institute for History of the Arts’s Department of Organology held a conference entitled “The Music of Nature: Sound Imitation in Ritual and Art” on October 10th in the Institute’s Green Hall in St Petersburg, Russia. The focus of this conference was on the phenomenon of the imitation of nature as the foundations of art.
