2006 Symposium “Music and Nature”
Co-sponsored by the Society for New Music and held at Syracuse University in conjunction with the premiere of composer Robert Morris’s outdoor work Sound/Path/Field, this conference included papers by Sophie Bouffard, Martin Brody, Michael Broyles, Heather Buchman, Catherine Cole, Robert Fallon, Christine Fena, Dora Hanninen, Lee Hartman, Rebecca Jemian, Diane Luchese, Andrew Mead, Thomas Peattie, Robert Schultz, Scott Spencer, Samuel Tymorek and Denise Von Glahn, musicologists who would eventually become involved with the ESG.
